Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has claimed that Israel has become stronger than ever, despite being in the midst of a conflict with Iran. He said that the ongoing war has given Israel the opportunity to form new alliances in the region, which was previously impossible. Netanyahu also stated that joint operations with the US have prevented Iran’s nuclear and ballistic programs from being transferred underground.
During a press conference, Netanyahu said that Israeli airstrikes have killed top Iranian nuclear scientists and inflicted significant damage on the Revolutionary Guards and Basij forces. He claimed that Iran’s current situation could lead to a change in government. The Israeli PM also stated that Iran is no longer the same country it was and that the recent airstrikes have prevented Iran from transferring its nuclear and ballistic programs underground.
In response to a question about the new Supreme Leader of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, and the new leader of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, Netanyahu said that their lives are not guaranteed. He also claimed that Raisi is a puppet of the Revolutionary Guards and cannot be exposed to the public. Addressing the Iranian people, Netanyahu said that Israel is with them and that the ultimate decision is theirs.
Netanyahu’s statements mirror those of former US President Donald Trump, who repeatedly appealed to the Iranian people to rise up against their government. Trump also said that the Iranian people’s freedom clock is ticking.
Meanwhile, the Saudi Defense Ministry has claimed that 56 drones were destroyed in the air, including one that was attempting to target the Riyadh diplomatic area. US Secretary of Defense Mark Esper has stated that Iran is being attacked with over 1,000 missiles per day.
Israel has claimed that it has struck over 200 targets in Iran in the past 24 hours. The conflict in the Middle East is becoming increasingly complex, with traditional weapons giving way to electronic warfare, satellite information, and radar signals.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have warned that the world will witness a different “Quds Day” this year. On the one hand, they face the risk of losing the support of their close ally, the US. US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin has stated that the US will lift sanctions on Russian oil by April 11. Ali Larijani, the Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, has warned that if Iran’s energy infrastructure is attacked, the entire Middle East will face severe consequences.
The Revolutionary Guards have also claimed that a US Air Force cargo plane, the USS Abraham Lincoln, was hit by missiles, causing significant damage. Experts believe that the missiles are being used to deceive Israel’s advanced air defense system.
A report has also stated that Israel has effectively made it impossible for the Palestinian Authority to obtain building permits in occupied East Jerusalem.
