Karachi, Pakistan – A tragic incident occurred in the Hassan Square area of Karachi on Tuesday when a speeding water tanker collided with a motorcyclist, resulting in the latter’s death. According to rescue sources, the angry mob set the tanker on fire after the accident.
The deceased has been identified as 55-year-old Bashir, a resident of the area. The incident sparked outrage among the locals, who set the tanker ablaze. A fire brigade team quickly responded to the scene and extinguished the flames.
According to police officials, the two brothers, residents of Azizabad, were on their way to Eid shopping when the accident occurred. The body of the deceased has been shifted to the Civil Hospital for post-mortem examination, while further investigations are underway.
This incident is not the first of its kind in the area, as last week, two young brothers were killed in a similar accident near the Karamabad Furniture Market.
