The Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC) has held its second meeting, presided over by Federal Minister for Health, Muhammad Kamal, to elect the council’s president and vice president. Aslam Ghori, the Federal Special Secretary of Health, has been elected as the new president of the PNC, while Dr. Syed Ali Farhan Razi, the vice chairman of the Liaquat College of Medicine and Dentistry, has been elected as the vice president.
The formation of the council has been completed four months after the issuance of the Presidential Ordinance. On this occasion, the Federal Minister congratulated the newly elected president and vice president and urged them to work together to restore the institution’s reputation, as they are professionals.
Meanwhile, the US Embassy in Pakistan has restricted the movement of its staff until March 15. Citizens can check the status of their appointments on the website, and all consular services will remain suspended at the US consulates in Karachi and Lahore until further notice.
