The US President, Donald Trump, has stated that the conflict in Iran will soon come to an end. In his statement, Trump said that since there is nothing left to target in Iran, the war will also come to an end soon. He further stated that the United States is ahead of its schedule, and the country has inflicted more damage than expected in the first six days of the conflict.
On the other hand, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps has claimed that it has targeted US military bases in the Gulf with missiles and drones. According to reports, over 100 US military personnel were injured in the attacks. Arab media reported that Iran has claimed to have launched attacks on US military installations in Kuwait, including the Al-Adwani Helicopter Base, the Mohammed Al-Ahmad Naval Base, and the Ali Al-Salem Air Base.
In a recorded speech, Trump warned Iran’s new Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, saying that if Iran does not meet US demands, he may support action against the country. In response to the escalating tensions in the Middle East, major financial institutions have taken precautionary measures. The British government has announced a new definition of ‘Islamophobic hate,’ which includes violence, harassment, and discriminatory stereotypes against Muslims. The definition also includes the transportation of petrol, diesel, and aviation fuel.
According to reports, the majority of those injured in the conflict have suffered minor injuries. In another incident, a fire broke out in a slum in Delhi, destroying between 300 and 400 homes. In a separate incident, a former Pakistani Prime Minister and leader of the National Conference, Farooq Abdullah, narrowly escaped a targeted attack during a wedding ceremony in Indian-administered Kashmir.
The Iraqi Ministry of Oil has expressed concern over the attacks on oil tankers in the Gulf. A woman was allegedly subjected to violence in a village in Madhubani district. However, officials say that there is currently no concrete intelligence to confirm the threat.
