Pakistan’s Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb announced the successful conclusion of the highly anticipated five-G spectrum auction, a significant development in the country’s IT sector. The auction ceremony took place in Islamabad, marking a crucial step towards stabilizing the nation’s economy.
“We have made a significant breakthrough in the five-G spectrum auction,” the finance minister said during his address. “The government has established a comprehensive ecosystem, and we are moving towards block chain and AI’s new industry. The five-G spectrum auction will boost IT exports.”
The auction, which was attended by key officials including Minister of IT Shaza Fatima, Minister of Information Ata Tarar, and PTI Chairman Hafeez Ur Rehman, saw PTI offering 600 megahertz of spectrum for sale. The first round of the auction, which will last 60 minutes, is expected to be a critical test of the country’s IT sector.
