President Raisi further stated that Iran remains committed to its defense and resistance, and seeks friendly relations with regional states, which does not contradict its right to defend itself against the United States. This comes after President Raisi apologized to neighboring countries that were targeted by Iranian attacks in a televised address.
On the other hand, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps has stated that there has been no aggression against neighboring countries so far, but if Iran is attacked, all American airbases and interests in Iran will be targeted. Abbas Araghchi, the Iranian Foreign Minister, stated that Iran has not started a war, but has taken retaliatory measures against the attacks, targeting American military bases, installations, and assets in the region.
Araghchi also stated that Iran will not allow any foreign interference in the election of the new Supreme Leader, emphasizing that the Iranian people have the right to choose their new leader. The Emirati Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that it does not want to get entangled in any conflict or tension, and has advised Pakistani expats in Dubai to refrain from sharing inflammatory content on social media.
