China has urged Iran to stop its military attacks, emphasizing that war is not a viable solution to any problem. This comes as tensions between Iran and other countries continue to escalate after a series of attacks in the region.
According to reports, China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi expressed his country’s opposition to the ongoing conflict, stating that military action is not a suitable solution to resolve issues. The Chinese diplomat further emphasized the importance of respecting the sovereignty and independence of countries in the region, including Iran and the Gulf states.
In a separate development, Lebanon’s Foreign Minister Yusuf al-Rahi condemned Iran’s attacks on several Arab countries, stating that Hezbollah’s military operations do not represent the official policy of the Lebanese government.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, however, defended his country’s actions, stating that Iran has not initiated the conflict but has taken retaliatory measures to counter the attacks. The Iranian diplomat claimed that the country’s military operations have targeted US military bases, installations, and assets in the region.
The escalating tensions have led to a humanitarian crisis, with over 1900 people injured in Israel since the conflict began. The Israeli government has come under fire from the Israeli Arab community, with some questioning the effectiveness of the government’s efforts to liberate Iranian people from their current regime.
In a move to ease the crisis, Switzerland has condemned the US and Israeli attacks on Iran as a violation of international law. The Swiss government expressed its support for the people of Iran and emphasized the need for a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
Meanwhile, the UAE has increased imports of food supplies to the emirate of Sharjah and Fujairah in anticipation of a potential shortage. The move comes as the UAE has already seen four fatalities and several injured citizens, including Pakistanis, Nepalis, and Bangladeshis, due to Iranian attacks.
The conflict has also taken a toll on the Pakistani community in Dubai, with authorities urging residents to refrain from sharing inflammatory content on social media. The Pakistani government has also come under fire for its handling of the economic crisis, with some accusing the government of burdening the people with high petrol prices.
