Iranian authorities have revealed that Israel has bombed their water purification plants, prompting widespread condemnation from the international community. A prominent Israeli social activist, Alon Levi, has questioned the Israeli government’s actions, asking if they believe these attacks will somehow free the Iranian people from their regime.
In a statement posted on social media platform X, Levi asked, “What benefit will the Iranian people derive from the bombing of hospitals in Tehran?” He also questioned whether the attacks were intended to “bring bread to the people” rather than a genuine attempt to overthrow the Iranian government.
A video shared on social media platform X shows a street in a city with continuous flames burning on the side of the road. This comes as the US and Israel continue to launch airstrikes on Iranian targets, including oil depots and infrastructure. The Iranian government has confirmed that these attacks have resulted in widespread damage, including the destruction of oil depots, refineries, and residential areas.
According to reports, over 1,300 people have been killed in the conflict, with 30% of those killed being children. The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has confirmed that 20 schools and 10 hospitals have been targeted in the airstrikes.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi stated that his country had not initiated the conflict but was responding to the attacks. He emphasized that Iranian actions had targeted US military bases, infrastructure, and assets in the region.
The Emirati Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that they do not want to get involved in any conflict or tension. In a bid to support the Iranian people, the Emirati government has announced plans to increase food imports from the Sharaqiya and Fajirah ports.
In a separate development, the Indian government has come under fire for questioning the loyalty of Muslim citizens due to their alleged association with the Hindu nationalist party. Meanwhile, a Kuwait-based organization has condemned the US-led attack on the Al-Adadi military base, using drones and missiles.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has expressed his opposition to the conflict, stating that the use of force will not resolve the issue. He emphasized that the international community must work together to find a peaceful solution.
The UAE Ministry of Defense has confirmed that four people have been killed in Iranian attacks, with Pakistani, Nepalese, and Bangladeshi citizens among the dead. Israel has seen over 1,900 injured individuals admitted to hospitals since the conflict began.
The Pakistani Embassy in Dubai has issued a statement asking Pakistanis to refrain from sharing inflammatory content on social media.
