The Pakistani Embassy and Consulates in Dubai have issued a warning to Pakistani residents to exercise caution when sharing information on social media, particularly regarding the UAE. The warning, titled “Be Cautious, Stay Safe,” was released on social media and advises individuals to be mindful of the consequences of spreading false information, which could result in heavy fines from local authorities.
According to Khaleej Times, the UAE authorities have warned citizens that sharing rumors and false information could lead to fines of over AED 1 million (approximately PKR 350 million). Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, stated that Iran has not started a war but has taken retaliatory measures against attacks. He added that Iranian operations have targeted US military bases, installations, and assets in the region.
The Iranian government has vowed not to allow any foreign interference in the selection of its new Supreme Leader, emphasizing that it is the Iranian people’s right to choose their new leader. The UAE Foreign Ministry has stated that it does not want to be involved in any conflict or tensions.
In a separate development, Israel has reported over 1,900 injured individuals admitted to hospitals since the conflict with Iran began. Alon Liel, an Israeli official from the Arab Jewish organization, questioned whether the Israeli government understood how to free Iranians from their regime.
Following a recent oil depot attack in Tehran’s outskirts, the city has been shrouded in thick smoke since early morning. Switzerland has condemned the US and Israeli airstrikes on Iran, labeling them a violation of international law.
The warning has sparked a wave of solidarity on social media, with many expressing their support for the Iranian people. A video shared on social media platform X shows a street in Tehran with continuous flames. Authorities have announced plans to increase food imports at Sharjah’s Khawr Fakkkan and Fujairah ports.
In Pakistan, Hindu nationalist politics has raised questions about the loyalty of Muslims. Mohammad Mir Baqir stated that most members have reached a consensus on the selection of the new Supreme Leader. The US has been using hybrid drones and missiles in an attack on the Al-Adid airbase in Kuwait.
The Chinese Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, stated that the war should not have occurred and that the use of force is not a solution to the problem.
