Randall achieved this feat on the second day of the match at the Napier’s McLean Park, where the Northern Districts were bowled out for 82 runs in response to the Central Districts’ total of 373 runs. Randall took six wickets for eight balls and seven wickets for 12 balls.
This record had previously been held by Curtis Campher of Ireland, who achieved it in a domestic inter-provincial match. However, Randall’s achievement in the Plunket Shield match has surpassed this record.
