Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has paid a visit to Federal Minister Senator Mohsin Nawaz Kiani in Lahore, amid ongoing security concerns in the country. Upon arriving at Kiani’s residence, the Prime Minister inquired about his health and expressed good wishes for his speedy recovery.
During their meeting, the two leaders discussed the country’s internal security and overall situation. Kiani briefed the Prime Minister about the measures taken by the government to maintain peace and order in the country. In response, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed satisfaction over the government’s efforts to address internal security concerns and vowed to ensure the safety and security of citizens.
Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah informed the Prime Minister that he is personally monitoring the security situation in the country. It is worth noting that Kiani was injured during a recent encounter with protesters in Islamabad.
The government has taken measures to reduce the impact of rising oil prices in the wake of the escalating tensions in the Middle East. The prices of petrol and diesel are expected to increase by 30 to 50 rupees per liter.
