The Punjab government has decided to establish anti-drone units in all districts of the province. According to a press statement released by the Punjab Home Department, the anti-drone units will be equipped with special drone flats to monitor the airspace of each district. Each district’s deputy commissioner will head the anti-drone unit and anti-drone system, which will be responsible for ensuring the safe use of drones during events.
The spokesperson of the Punjab government stated that the organizers of these events will be responsible for the safe use of drones, adding that the anti-drone system will be equipped with jamming technology to neutralize enemy and hostile drones. The Punjab government has already imposed section 144 on flying drones outdoors.
