Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, has extended his warmest wishes to the Hindu community on the occasion of Holi, a vibrant festival that celebrates the triumph of good over evil. In his message, the Prime Minister underscored the significance of Holi as a symbol of social harmony and the blending of colors that represent the rich cultural diversity of Pakistan.
The Prime Minister praised the Hindu community for their positive role in promoting social cohesion, economic progress, and peaceful coexistence in the country. He emphasized that the Constitution of Pakistan guarantees equal rights to all citizens, regardless of their faith or ethnicity, and that the government is committed to protecting the rights of minorities.
In a separate development, the Prime Minister held a meeting with parliamentary and political leaders, where the inner workings of the gathering were revealed. Inspector General (IG) of the Sindh Police, Javed Alam Odho, expressed satisfaction with the performance of Operation Nijat Muhran.
The Prime Minister also spoke with the Lebanese Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, to condemn the Israeli aggression on Lebanon. Meanwhile, the Minister of Information shared updated figures on the damage caused by Operation Ghazi ul-Haq to the Afghan side.
Sources close to the matter revealed that Maulana Fazlur Rehman discussed his views on matters related to Iran, Afghanistan, and the Middle East. He also suggested that the PTI and opposition parties be briefed on the same.
In a separate development, a civil judge who failed to return from a 18-day leave was removed from his position. The government has decided to hold a joint session of Parliament to discuss the situation in the Middle East and Afghanistan.
According to security sources, the Pakistan Army targeted military and terrorist targets based on credible intelligence, and Iran has been subjected to war. Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts are aimed at ending the war through a peaceful agreement.
