Pakistan’s military forces are engaged in a massive ground and aerial operation against the Afghan Taliban and Khawarij under the code name “Operation Ghadab-e-Haqq”. The operation is aimed at targeting the strongholds and military installations of these militant groups in various regions.
According to sources, the Pakistani military has destroyed the Khogani Base in the Nangarhar province of Afghanistan. The security forces are effectively targeting the strongholds and military installations of the Khawarij and Afghan Taliban on various fronts. Sources say that the Khawarij and Afghan Taliban are facing setbacks on multiple fronts, and the operation will continue until its objectives are achieved.

The Minister of Information, Atta Tarar, briefed the media about the details of Operation Ghadab-e-Haqq on Tuesday morning. He stated that the Afghan Taliban had launched attacks on 16 locations in North Balochistan, including Saifullah, Nosheki, and Chaman districts. The Pakistani military effectively repelled the attacks on all locations.
Tarar said that 27 Afghan Taliban militants were killed and several others were injured in the operation. One FC personnel from Balochistan North was martyred, while five others were injured. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Afghan Taliban attempted to launch an attack on a location, but were thwarted. The Pakistani military killed 40 Afghan Taliban militants in the operation.
Meanwhile, the leader of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI), Maulana Fazlur Rahman, visited the Iranian embassy in Islamabad. The Minister of Defense, Khawaja Asif, stated that the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, had tried to divert international attention from the Gaza crisis by launching an attack on Iran.
The Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, summoned a parliamentary meeting to discuss the current situation. The Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Pervez Elahi, said that the Prime Minister had not decided to leave for home. He prayed that Imran Khan, the PTI chairman, would be released from prison before Eid.
The PTI leader also expressed concern that the region would continue to face unrest in the future. He advocated for resolving the issue through a large economic program with a clear understanding of the situation. According to the Minister of Information, 188 checkposts of the Afghan Taliban regime were destroyed, while 31 were captured.
In a separate development, the Pakistani military captured the Afghan Taliban’s post in Paktika and hoisted the Pakistani flag. The security forces effectively responded to the Khawarij militants, killing several of them. The Pakistani Embassy in Riyadh advised Pakistani citizens in Saudi Arabia to remain calm and follow the instructions of the Saudi government.
The PTI leadership expressed a desire to meet Imran Khan, but emphasized that his treatment was a priority. All parliamentary leaders have been invited to attend the meeting. In a separate statement, the authorities clarified that the Pakistani airspace had not been completely closed for commercial flights. However, family members of the prisoners in Adiala Jail have been allowed to leave the jail.
