US President Donald Trump has stated that the United States will not intervene in the conflict between Pakistan and Afghanistan, saying Islamabad and Kabul are doing a good job. In a media talk in Texas, Trump announced that the US will not intervene in the Pakistan-Afghanistan war. In response to a question, the US President further stated that he has high regard for Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, saying the country has great leadership. He claimed to have a good rapport with the Prime Minister and the Field Marshal, both of whom, he said, are leaders of the world, for whom he has a great deal of respect. On Iran, Trump stated that the country cannot possess nuclear weapons, expressing unhappiness but expecting further talks by the end of the week, hoping to reach a deal with Iran. He stressed that he does not want to use force against Iran, but force may be used occasionally. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has stated that their military was ready for the day. The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs suggested that the situation be resolved through immediate political and diplomatic means. A missile attack was carried out by Iran in Jordan’s Mafraq base, targeting US forces, with explosions heard in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. Bader al-Badri has stated that the attacks are neither in favor of US interests nor for global peace, and they are praying for the innocent people who will bear the cost of these attacks. The Israeli Defense Forces have announced that they targeted hundreds of Iranian military targets during airstrikes in western Iran, including missile launchers.
