Peshawar witnessed a wave of terror on Tuesday as two police stations came under attack, leaving eight people, including two police officials, injured. According to the police, the first attack took place at the Badda Police Station, where one official sustained injuries. The second attack occurred at the Matni Sar Khwara Police Check Post, where seven people, including one police official, were injured. The police stated that a meeting was underway at the check post when the attack took place, and the police retaliated with gunfire, forcing the attackers to flee.
In a separate incident, firing and attacks were reported at police check posts in Bannu and Hangu. The police successfully countered these attacks, and the attackers managed to escape. A recent notice issued by the government stated that unidentified flights would not be allowed to park at Karachi Airport.
The escalating tensions in the Middle East have led to a shortage of petroleum products in Pakistan. The Pakistan Air Force has reportedly destroyed an Afghan military headquarters in Qandahar and struck two targets in the Nangharar province of Afghanistan. A ban on movement has been imposed in various areas of Dera Ismail Khan under Section 144.
