In a shocking case, a 2-month-old infant was allegedly killed by his mother in the Indian state of Telangana. According to the police, the incident occurred at an under-construction apartment complex. On February 24, around 12 pm, a call was made to the police control room (100) reporting the death of a child in an apartment located near the Outer Ring Road in the Baupurampt area.
Upon receiving the information, a police team rushed to the scene. Assistant Commissioner of Police revealed that the child’s mouth was gagged with a cloth, and his hands were tied with a rope. The child had suffered severe injuries, leading to his death.
The child’s father informed the police that he had been working at the construction site for the past month and was living in a temporary room on the site with his 20-year-old wife, Mmta Aharwar, and their 2-month-old son, Surya. The police officer stated that the entire family, including the child, had their throats cut with a sharp object.
The father reported that he left for work on Monday morning, leaving the child with his wife. When he returned around 11 am, he found his wife near the stove and saw that the child was being burned. He immediately pushed his wife aside but found that the child had already succumbed to his injuries. The child had been crying continuously for the past few days, and his mother seemed to be under severe mental pressure.
Preliminary investigations by the police revealed that the accused woman had allegedly gagged the child’s mouth with a cloth and tied his hands with a rope to stop him from crying. The police suspect that the woman then burned the child’s body after his death. The police have registered a case and are investigating all aspects of the incident, including any domestic issues or health-related factors that may have contributed to the tragedy. The child’s body was sent for post-mortem examination, and further investigations are underway.
