Sindh Governor, Kamran Khan Tessori, has announced an increase in the number of students enrolled in the IT program to 1 million, surpassing the initial target of 50,000 students. The announcement was made during the seventh Iftar and Dinner event, hosted by Governor Kamran Khan Tessori, which was attended by the Consul Generals of Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates. The event also featured a drawing of six plots, which was conducted on the occasion.
During the event, Governor Kamran Khan Tessori also announced an increase in the distribution of laptops from 11,000 to 22,000 and motorbikes from 9,000 to 15,000. In his address, the Governor stated that all nationalities residing in Sindh are equal and that public projects will not be halted due to conspiracies. However, a tragic incident took place in Chaman, where a gas cylinder explosion occurred in a house, resulting in the deaths of five children. The Chaman Police confirmed that the bodies of the children were retrieved from the debris.
In a separate development, PTI Chairman, Shahbaz Gill, stated that he has taken the name of Alimah Khan, who had expressed a desire to be nominated. Sources revealed that this decision was made during a consultative meeting of the opposition alliance in Islamabad last night, which was attended by Mahmood Khan Achakzai, Maulana Nasser Abbas, and other members, including Shahbaz Gill and Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar.
According to the FIA spokesperson, a foreign airline’s air hostess was arrested at Karachi Airport following a raid. In another significant development, the Lahore High Court has ordered the removal of PTI leader, Usman Dar, from the ECL. Sources revealed that the student had attempted to take her own life by consuming sleeping pills a few days ago. The student is married and had kept the pills at home. According to the post-mortem report, six pills were found on different parts of the student’s body.
Additionally, the Punjab Assembly Secretary confirmed that under the proposed system, important matters such as civic development projects, master plans, land use, and zoning will be transferred to the local governments of the Upper Tier.
In a separate incident, five children died after drinking water from a bottle containing pesticide in Ghazi Khan, Ghotki. The District Health Department confirmed that the children died over a period of three days in the village of Alhaj Bakhsh Chhajju. Furthermore, PTI Chairman, Shahbaz Gill, stated that Alimah Khan was the one who had expressed a desire to be nominated.
