Lahore, Pakistan – Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz inaugurated the E-Ride service in a special ceremony in Lahore. In her address, she stated that the E-Ride service is a dignified employment plan that will provide a monthly income of Rs. 1.5 to 2 lakh. She added that women in Punjab do not need to be afraid of anyone, the E-Ride service will play a key role in achieving women’s employment, and women in Punjab will be provided with job opportunities.
Maryam Nawaz also stated that every daughter of Punjab is safe, and if anyone tries to harm them, they should remember their fate. The Chief Minister of Punjab announced that a subsidy of Rs. 4 billion has been provided for the E-Ride service, and the government will provide a 60% discount for women drivers and a 50% discount for male drivers. In the first phase, 1100 e-vehicles will be provided for the E-Ride service.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also inaugurated other projects, including a green electric bus in Rajanpur. She stated that green buses will be provided in every tehsil of Punjab, and we have already provided them in every district. Today, green and electric buses have revolutionized the transport system in Punjab.
