Islamabad, Pakistan – In a recent address, a Foreign Office spokesperson stated that active terrorist groups in Afghanistan are involved in the recent attacks in Pakistan. The spokesperson claimed that the actions taken by the security forces are focused on targeting the hideouts of these terrorist groups.
Following the recent attacks in Bajaur and Bannu, the spokesperson stated that the security forces are vigilant and proactive in dealing with all types of threats. According to Afghan media, the Paktika province has witnessed attacks in the Bermel and Orgun districts, while the Nangarhar province’s Khogyani district, Behsud, and Ghani Khel have also been targeted.
The spokesperson emphasized that every Pakistani citizen in Afghanistan should be provided with complete protection. He also demanded that the perpetrators of the Smuggling Express tragedy be brought to justice and that India be held accountable for human rights violations.
A statement released by the Fire Department confirmed that efforts are being made to control the fire using six fire tenders. The statement also mentioned that a saving of 11 billion rupees has been achieved due to the reduction in LPG consumption, while progress has been made in the implementation of transformer level targeted load shedding.
In another incident, a gas cylinder explosion occurred at a residence in Chaman, resulting in the deaths of five children. The Chaman police confirmed that the bodies of the children were recovered from the rubble, while several rooms in the house collapsed due to the blast.
