In a shocking incident, seven men allegedly gang-raped a 28-year-old woman at knifepoint in front of her boyfriend in the Indian state of Assam. According to a report, the incident occurred on February 19, and a case has been registered based on the complaint filed by the victim.
The victim claimed that at least seven men took turns to rape her and then forced her to transfer Rs. 10,000 to an account. The victim’s family stated that she and her boyfriend were in a car on a bypass road in Silchar city, about 3 kilometers from the city center, when a group of men suddenly appeared, dragged them out of the car, and gang-raped the woman in front of her boyfriend at knifepoint.
In a separate incident, a 21-year-old son from Lakhnau, India, was arrested for allegedly murdering his father. The case has been reported to the Silchar Police Station.
The police have identified two suspects, 25-year-old Nilotpal Das and 27-year-old Subol Das, both residents of Silchar, and have arrested them. The police also stated that the victim has undergone a medical test and her statement has been recorded.
The incident has sparked outrage among the public, with hundreds of local residents taking to social media to demand stern action against the perpetrators.
