Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Alima Khan has stated that the social media and the public are aware of the traitors within the party, and they have complete information about the situation. Speaking to the media outside the Islamabad High Court, she claimed that her brothers’ issue is a concern, as the party’s founder Imran Khan is actively involved in politics. “We will now speak openly for our brother,” she said, “and it doesn’t matter if Mohsin Nawaz is present or not.”
Alima Khan further stated that party leaders who wish to speak up will do so, and it’s not necessary for her to know what’s happening within the party. She claimed that the party’s leadership is completely silent, and even party lawyers and members of the assembly claim that the vote belongs to the founder. “Bani has always said that this is a theoretical party, so the party’s division over Mohsin Nawaz’s statement is beyond our comprehension,” she said.
Alima Khan also stated that as the honorary member of the party’s founder, she has no signature or fingerprints on any documents related to the case. She claimed that the party’s leadership has repeatedly instructed lawyers to file cases but failed to do so.
During her press conference, Alima Khan questioned Barrister Gohar, Latif Khosa, and Barrister Ali Zafar, asking where they were and why they weren’t filing cases. She accused the party’s leadership of not responding to Mohsin Nawaz’s statement and instead blaming them.
The PTI leader also stated that the party’s leadership has silenced doctors and is pressuring government doctors, while her party’s doctors are available. “We want the party to do something about this,” she said, “and we want to know what Mohsin Nawaz will tell us about his family or the party.”
Regarding the party’s advisory committee, Alima Khan stated that no committee can be formed without her consent, and she must be consulted on any decisions related to the party’s founder’s health.
In a separate development, the Director-General of Immigration and Passports issued a statement announcing new reforms, which were made in light of the Lahore High Court’s orders. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah briefed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on the progress of the development projects in the province.
Sources close to the PTI revealed that Minister of Interior Mohsin Nawaz had previously suggested exempting diplomatic passport holders from visa requirements. The PTI leadership has been divided over the issue, and some members have publicly disagreed with the minister’s stance.
In other news, the Supreme Court dismissed a petition to reinstate police officer Shahzad Hussain, and Justice Muhammad Ali Muzhar issued a written verdict. The Zonal Seismic Monitoring Center reported that the earthquake’s intensity was 5.6 on the Richter scale, with a depth of 114 kilometers.
PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar stated that the party will continue to fight for justice in the Supreme Court and High Court, even during Ramadan. “Our only demand is that the court makes decisions based on justice, and the cases against the party’s founder are filed,” he said.
The security forces have intensified operations based on intelligence, and the Ahmadiyya Community in Pakistan has condemned the recent attacks on its members.
The government has announced that it will provide digital confirmation of immigration status to successful applicants via email, and they will not need to visit a visa center after taking a biometric test.
In a related development, the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi has summoned the last witness in the case against PTI leader Alima Khan.
In a statement, the PTI leader’s sources revealed that the government has set a condition for the party to provide information about the treatment of its members, but they will not be summoned.
