Global leaders have condemned Israel’s decision to annex the West Bank, with 19 countries, including Saudi Arabia, joining the League of Arab States and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in denouncing the move.
In a joint statement, the leaders emphasized that the changes are of a vast nature, with Palestine’s land being declared as the official state territory of Israel. The statement also highlighted that Israel’s illegal settlement activities will be accelerated, and its administrative authority will be strengthened.
The joint statement was issued by Saudi Arabia, Brazil, France, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Indonesia, Ireland, Egypt, Jordan, Luxembourg, Norway, Palestine, Portugal, Qatar, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Turkey.
Separately, a helicopter crash in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands killed four people, including the pilot and a co-pilot, and injured several others. The crash occurred due to technical difficulties.
