Islamabad, Pakistan – In a press conference outside the Supreme Court, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan called for the transformation of political differences into constructive dialogue. He emphasized the need for a strong defense of Pakistan and urged the nation to move forward, stating that imprisoning a popular leader like Imran Khan is unacceptable.
Barrister Gohar Khan pointed out that the judiciary should provide justice, but in this case, even 3 crore voters were denied justice. He questioned the difference between a doctor and another person, highlighting that the government’s actions are merely providing solace to its allies, without any tangible benefits. He expressed concerns that keeping Imran Khan in prison could lead to chaos and urged the nation to come together for the betterment of politics.
PTI Chairman also requested the Chief Justice to allow Imran Khan’s party to meet with the judiciary, stating that this is the 13th time they have appeared before the court. He emphasized that a mere appointment of a friend of the court is not enough and that Imran Khan’s family meeting is essential.
Barrister Gohar Khan highlighted that the party has some reservations about the Rangers, which have been discussed within the party. He acknowledged that the party’s stance on this issue may have consequences and expressed confidence in the Chief Minister’s handling of provincial issues.
The PTI Chairman emphasized that the party will not engage in any actions that may harm democracy and that they want Imran Khan’s release through a court order. He also stressed that the party is opposed to the formation of a force that is not constitutional and that they will continue to raise their voices against it through all possible forums.
In other developments, the Iranian Ambassador expressed concerns that the recent changes in Pakistan may lead to further changes in the region. In a separate statement, the Prime Minister praised the Qatar Businessmen Association for its role in strengthening trade ties between Pakistan and Qatar.
In a significant development, a family meeting was conducted with Bushra Bibi, the wife of Imran Khan, at the Rawalpindi Adiala Jail. The meeting was held in a conference room, and sources indicate that the family meeting was arranged in response to the recent appeal filed by PTI in the Supreme Court against the Election Tribunal’s decision.
In a related development, the Prime Minister met with the Deputy Prime Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Saud bin Abdul Rahman bin Thani. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz praised her team for reducing prices and urged the public to boycott retailers who do not follow the new rate list.
