Pakistani actress Tharwat Gilani has revealed that the country’s showbiz industry failed to congratulate her on the massive success of her web series, Churail. She was a part of the main cast of the web series, which received a mixed response from critics and controversy but eventually gained popularity on a massive scale. Gilani recently participated in a podcast where she spoke openly about the industry’s attitude and the jealousy she faced from her fellow artists. During the conversation, she revealed that the industry did not show any significant response to her success, saying, “No one in the industry celebrated my show’s success. No one expressed happiness about it.”
Gilani further stated that sometimes people cannot tolerate others’ success. She also mentioned that the industry’s response to her film, Jai Landa, was similarly limited. The film’s producer, Abdullah Khateeb, was seen holding the Palestinian flag on stage and saying, “The German government is complicit in the genocide in Gaza with Israel.”
Meanwhile, the Indian film industry is eagerly awaiting the reunion of two of its biggest stars, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, on the big screen in an upcoming film, which is tentatively titled KHxRK. The film will mark the first collaboration between the two actors in several decades.
