Pakistan’s Sindh province has been hit by a wave of violence, with the recent killing of terrorist Sajid Baloch, a suspected member of the Fidayeen-e-Islam group, exposing the country’s terror landscape. According to security sources, Baloch was also involved in the January 31 attacks in Balochistan.
Sources revealed that the Fidayeen-e-Islam group, linked to the Ra group, had confirmed Baloch’s death on their social media accounts. The group is known to lure young people into armed rebellion. Security agencies confirmed that the deceased terrorist was also listed as a missing person, with the Balochistan Unity Committee and others previously stating that Baloch was among the missing persons.
In Karachi, a large tent was pitched at the Gul Plaza Market in Bagh-e-Jinnah near the PIDE. Sindh Minister for Higher Education, Ismail Rahoo, urged the cancellation of university exams during the Holi and Easter holidays.
