Pakistan’s main opposition parties, including the United National Movement (MUM), the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q), and the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP), have announced their full support for security forces in the fight against terrorism. The leaders of these parties made the announcement after a meeting with Federal Minister for Interior, Senator Mohsin Nawaz, in Islamabad.
The leaders of the opposition parties, including Chaudhry Salik of the PML-Q, Dr. Khalid Mubeen Siddiqui of the MUM, and Khaliq Magsi of the BAP, expressed their support for the efforts of the security forces, led by Field Marshal Asim Munir, to establish peace in the country. The meeting was held in the wake of a written response by the Federal Minister for Interior, Senator Mohsin Nawaz, regarding the law and order situation in the country.
In a statement, the leaders of the opposition parties paid tribute to the brave young men who have sacrificed their lives while fighting against terrorism. They assured the families of the martyrs that they stand with them and will always be with them.
The Interior Minister, Senator Mohsin Nawaz, briefed the leaders of the three parties on the measures taken to restore peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. A case has been registered against a man who allegedly attempted to mole the girl, and the police have arrested him.
In a separate development, Sindh’s Senior Minister, Sharjeel Memon, said that some people are trying to politicize every issue and spread despair. The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has submitted its annual report to the Interior Ministry.
