Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori has claimed that the people of Sindh have started taking him seriously. This statement was made by the Governor during an Iftar dinner at the Governor’s House in Karachi, where MQM leader Dr. Farooq Sattar and Turkish Consul General were present. Opposition leader in the Sindh Assembly, Ali Khursheed, stated that the behavior of the nationalist party and the Pakistan Peoples Party is similar.
In his address at the event, Governor Kamran Tessori stated that there are some people who have set up political factories here, and they turn any issue into a political problem. He added that the government is on the right path and will continue on the same track, as the people of Sindh have started taking him seriously. The Governor also said that if one wants to achieve something, they should try to make it happen, rather than resorting to conspiracies. He further added that only attempts are successful, while conspiracies never achieve their goals. The Governor also stated that the party is still in its early stages.
Federal Minister for Interior, Tallal Chaudhry, stated that Pakistan is a responsible state, and it always tries to maintain better relations with its neighbors. He also expressed concerns about the increasing trend of terrorism being exported from Afghanistan. The leaders of the opposition alliance, Tehreek-e-Insaf, addressed a press conference in Islamabad.
PTI leader and former Minister for Finance of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mahmood Khan Achakzai, stated that the government’s claims of improving the economy are baseless. Khawaja Asif stated that the solution to any problem lies in dialogue and that they are peace-loving people who have entered a critical juncture and now need to make a decision. Hafiz Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi stated that if Afghanistan fails to stop terrorism, then there will be a response.
In another development, a person has been arrested in the Lyari Chakiwara area of Karachi, who allegedly attempted to assault a young girl. Shahzad Gilani stated that such statements are often made by people who are under emotional distress, suffering from mental pressure, or are simply trying to create chaos. Sindh’s Senior Minister, Sharjeel Memon, stated that some people try to politicize every issue and spread panic.
