In a significant operation, the police in Sindh and Punjab have achieved a major breakthrough in the Kutch region, resulting in the surrender of 13 dacoits, including the most notorious Thanaullah Shar. IG Sindh Javed Alam Odho revealed that Thanaullah Shar, also known as Thano Shar, has laid down his arms. The operation, codenamed “Nijat Muhraan,” aims to eradicate dacoity in the Kutch region.
Rajanpur District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Imran stated that during the operation, 13 dacoits have surrendered. Imran added that Thanaullah Shar, the most notorious dacoit in Sindh, has also surrendered, for which the Sindh government had announced a reward of Rs. 1 crore. Javed Alam Odho further stated that after the arrest of Thanaullah Shar, the extortion racket will come to an end, and his accomplices have also started laying down their arms.
According to the police officials, Thanaullah Shar was involved in several high-profile cases, including the murder of police officers and extortion. He was also accused of being involved in tribal conflicts in the region. The police believe that his arrest is a significant achievement, as he had more than 100 cases registered against him.
Minister for Interior, Tahir Chaudhry, stated that Pakistan is a responsible state and always strives to maintain better relations with its neighbors. He added that the country has been a victim of terrorism exported by Afghanistan for a long time.
In a press conference in Islamabad, leaders of the opposition alliance, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), expressed their concerns about the country’s economic situation.
