Pakistani social media influencer Samina Ahmed Hijab has taken to Instagram to defend herself against criticism over her recent Umrah pilgrimage. In a video shared on the platform, Ahmed Hijab addressed her critics, asking how a sinner can judge another sinner.
The influencer, who has over 8 million followers on Instagram, has been in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, where she is observing the holy month of Ramadan. However, her decision to perform Umrah has been met with criticism from some social media users, who have commented on her posts, saying she has only come to Mecca seeking forgiveness after committing sins.
In response, Ahmed Hijab shared a video from Mecca, where she can be seen sitting in front of the Kaaba, the holiest site in Islam. She said, “I’ve read that someone said, ‘9,900 mice ate and then performed Hajj.’ Look, I’m here in Mecca, sitting in front of the Kaaba, and I’m talking to God. I often ask God why certain things happen and seek His guidance.”
Ahmed Hijab continued, “I’ve seen that God resolves my problems, shows me kindness, and forgives me. What’s this saying, ‘9,900 mice ate and then performed Hajj’? Do people not know that sinners also perform Umrah, and good people also do so? How can someone judge another person’s heart?”
The influencer’s message has sparked a mixed reaction on social media, with some users praising her for her courage and others criticizing her for her actions. In a separate development, Pakistani actor Saba Qamar said, “I think Satan is no bigger than a human.” She suggested that jails should be converted into reform centers where prisoners can be provided with opportunities for change.
Meanwhile, Indian actor Raj Kundra, the husband of actress Shilpa Shetty, has hailed the bail granted to them in the alleged cryptocurrency case as a victory for truth. Indian actress Mouni Roy has expressed her admiration for comedian Dharmesh Yelande and said she would like to work with him.
In other news, a senior Indian actor, Rajinikanth, revealed that he was once a teacher to his wife’s students before they got married in 1999, following a chance meeting at a dinner party. Indian actors Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna are reportedly planning a grand destination wedding in the city of Adipur, Rajasthan.
Ahmed Hijab has also taken to social media to announce her decision to forgive those who have wronged her. She said, “I’m choosing to forgive each person who has hurt me, not because they deserve it, but because my soul needs peace.”
In related news, Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie is reportedly preparing to leave the United States. A German AI video production company, “The Door Brothers,” has released a sci-fi short film, claiming that it was made in just one day with the help of AI.
