The Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) of Lahore, Bilal Siddiqui, has stated that the city has taken robust security measures to ensure public safety during the Eid Al-Fitr celebrations. In a press release from Lahore, he assured that the security alert will remain in place until the end of the Friday prayers. The CCPO, Bilal Siddiqui, was recently transferred from Punjab, with a notification issued accordingly.
To ensure public safety, the CCPO has announced that additional police personnel will be deployed at mosques, markets, and public places. Moreover, surveillance cameras will be used to monitor the entire city. The CCPO has also stated that the city will be closely watched through the Safe City camera network.
