The President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, has stated that the eradication of exploitation and promotion of social justice are the responsibilities of the state. In his message on the occasion of World Social Justice Day, he emphasized that the Constitution of Pakistan guarantees social justice, and the protection of vulnerable classes is the top priority. President Zardari stated that the budget for the Benazir Income Support Program has reached 71.6 billion rupees, providing financial assistance to one million households.
The President also emphasized that efforts are being made to make the Kashmiri people helpless in their own homeland. To ensure access to healthcare, education, and food, he expressed his resolve to take decisive action, particularly for the elderly, women, people with special needs, and youth. He added that social justice is the cornerstone of sustainable development, and Pakistan supports the United Nations’ theme “Empowerment through Participation.”
In a related development, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab, Faisal Rana, has stated that the law enforcement agencies are working to eradicate terrorism from the province. The IG Punjab further added that the recent arrests of terrorists have dealt a significant blow to the terrorist organizations operating in the province.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader, Ali Amin Gandapur, has expressed regret over his recent video statement, in which he had made derogatory remarks about the judiciary. The PTI leader stated that if the party’s internal issues are resolved, the party’s leader, Imran Khan, would not be in jail.
In another development, the Islamabad High Court has issued a written order in the case of the controversial tweets of a PTI leader. The Collector of Customs, Islamabad, has stated that 30 kilograms of gold were seized from a truck coming from Afghanistan.
The leader of the Jamaat-e-Islami, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, has stated that the issue of Gaza should be taken to the United Nations. The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has announced its support for the government’s efforts to eradicate terrorism.

In another development, a news agency has reported that the US has deployed its aircraft in Portugal, in line with the Trump administration’s “dead line” for the withdrawal of troops from the region. The security sources have stated that the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is associated with the Khawarij movement’s Hafiz Gul Bahadur group.
