The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has filed a case against two immigration officials and four passengers for allegedly accepting bribes to clear immigration. The case was registered by the Anti-Corruption Wing. The FIA arrested two officials and four passengers in various areas of Karachi as part of the operation.
According to FIA sources, a statement was made by one of the FIA officials during the investigation that they had accepted money from 12 passengers in a week to clear immigration. DG FIA Usman Anwar said that illegal activities would not be tolerated, and there was no room for corrupt elements in the department. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah presented a motion in the Sindh Assembly against the division of the province.
