In a situation that has been going on for three days, over 350 pilgrims heading to Mecca are facing difficulties in Lahore due to the cancellation of a flight by a foreign airline. The pilgrims had booked their flight from Lahore Airport on an international airline on Wednesday. In response to the cancellation, passengers and pilgrims staged a protest at a hotel, expressing their dissatisfaction with the airline’s administration. According to the pilgrims, the flight was cancelled three days ago, and they were subsequently accommodated in hotels. However, the airline administration has not responded to their queries.
The pilgrims claim that the flight was cancelled after the boarding passes were issued, and they were informed that a technical issue had arisen with the plane. They had also booked hotels in Saudi Arabia, which were subsequently cancelled.
Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Saeed Khan Afridi, commented on the situation, saying that PTI’s leadership has a different approach when it comes to their health. Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, on the other hand, stated that the Islamabad High Court’s decision has led to a reconsideration of requests for bail before arrest.
Sources indicate that the security forces believe that the Taliban have ties with the Khawarij group, led by Hafiz Gul Bahadur. The United Party, the Pakistan Muslim League (Q), and the Balochistan Awami Party have announced their full support for the security forces in the fight against terrorism.
