The Judicial Commission set up to investigate the tragic incident of the Karachi shopping mall fire has decided to keep an email address open to receive information from citizens. According to sources, the commission’s deadline for gathering information from citizens is today, as it aims to complete its investigation within eight weeks. During the investigation, citizens can provide information to the commission.
The list of missing persons has been updated, with three more individuals added to the list: 70 people were initially reported missing, and today, the names of three more individuals have been added to the list. The Sindh government’s Help Desk has also decided to keep an email address open for citizens to provide information, with citizens able to send letters or emails to the commission to provide information.
According to sources, the commission will review the information provided by citizens and will summon them if necessary. It’s worth noting that the shopping mall fire in Karachi’s busy MA Jinnah Road, located at the city’s popular Glue Plaza Shopping Mall, occurred on January 17, resulting in the tragic loss of 86 lives and over 1,200 shops being reduced to ashes, despite a 33-hour struggle to bring the fire under control.
