Bollywood comedian and actor Rajpal Yadav has requested film producers to consider him for his next projects after being granted temporary bail by the Delhi High Court. Yadav expressed his willingness to work for any fee, provided he is given a strong character to play. In a conversation with Indian TV after being released, Yadav thanked his fans and attributed his successful career to the love and support of people from various communities. He urged film industry colleagues to reconsider giving him a chance, citing his willingness to work on mutually agreed terms.
This development comes after the court granted Yadav interim relief in a case related to a bounced cheque for repayment of a loan of Rs 5 crore. The loan was taken in 2010 for the production of the film “Aata Pata Laapata,” which failed commercially. The court records show that Yadav failed to repay the loan on time, and the cheques issued to the lender bounced. Attempts were made to repay the loan with interest, but a significant amount remained outstanding.
In 2018, the Karkardooma trial court sentenced Yadav to six months in prison, but he later appealed and obtained relief after showing proof of payment on several occasions. However, the court recently refused to extend the previous relief and ordered Yadav’s arrest, which he complied with. The temporary bail has now been granted to Yadav, freeing him temporarily.
