The Sindh High Court on Tuesday postponed the hearing of petitions against the e-challan system after the Director General Traffic Police (DGTP) submitted a response in the court. During the hearing, the DGTP clarified that the e-challan system was implemented after consultation with all stakeholders and is only applicable on fully constructed roads, not on those under construction.
According to the DGTP, the e-challan system is transparent and operates within the legal framework, and individuals can appeal to the traffic courts in case of any dispute. Following the DGTP’s response, the court adjourned the hearing until March 12.
