Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Highways Reopen After Court Order
In compliance with a recent court order, all highways in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been reopened. According to government officials, the Swabi Interchange has been cleared, and traffic on the Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway has been restored. The officials have stated that the Attock Bridge, which connects Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has been reopened, while roads connecting Dera Ismail Khan to Mianwali and Chashma have also been opened. Furthermore, the authorities have announced that the Dera Ismail Khan-Islamabad Motorway (M14) has been cleared, and the Hazara Motorway Interchange at Havalia and Muslimabad has also been opened.
Following the order of the Peshawar High Court, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police have reopened the province’s roads, removed obstacles at the Attock Bridge, which connects Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and restored traffic.
It is worth noting that the Peshawar High Court had ordered the reopening of the province’s closed roads due to the PTI’s protest. The court had stated that the roads have been closed for four days, causing immense difficulties to the people of the province, and that people are losing their lives due to the protests.
The Supreme Court has also issued a statement, stating that the petitioner had made a false claim of divorce to evade legal obstacles, and that the petitioner had created a fabricated story to conceal the humanitarian crisis, which has no legal evidence.
