Islamabad, Pakistan – In a shocking turn of events, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman, Imran Khan, has been hospitalised after a protest in Parliament, sparking concerns about his health. In a statement made to the media, PTI’s opposition leader, Raja Nisar Abbas, said that the party’s demand for PTI Chairman’s health is a top priority, and we have taken the matter to court.
Raja Nisar Abbas expressed his concerns in a media briefing in Islamabad, saying that the parliamentary protest was not the issue, but rather the access to PTI Chairman’s personal doctor. He added that the protesters were met with harsh restrictions by the authorities, and were even denied permission to leave the Parliament building.
In a statement made in the Senate, Raja Nisar Abbas said that PTI Chairman’s rights as a citizen and a prisoner should be respected. He expressed his hope that the court would rule in favour of the party’s demands, including access to PTI Chairman’s personal doctor.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has dismissed the PTI’s petition, stating that the plaintiff had made a false claim of divorce to avoid legal hurdles. The court also accused the PTI of trying to conceal a “humanitarian act” by fabricating a false story.
In other news, the Sindh Textbook Board has prepared 50 million textbooks for the upcoming academic year 2026-27. Pakistan has expressed concerns over the presence of the Taliban in Afghanistan, led by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
A major oil and gas discovery has been made in the Tando Allahyar district of Sindh, with the OGDC expecting a daily production of 97 million cubic feet of gas from the Darawat-3 well.
