FRISCO, Texas — Valentine’s Day in this North Texas suburb unfolded as a vivid celebration of culture and community when “Romance 2026 Valentine’s Dance Party,” organized by FunAsia in collaboration with 4Visions, brought together members of the South Asian community under one roof for an evening of music, color and shared festivity.

Hosted at Prism Bar N Grill, the event opened its doors at 8 p.m., and within minutes the venue was transformed. Soft lighting, carefully curated décor and a steady stream of elegantly dressed guests filled the hall with anticipation. By night’s peak, the dance floor had become a mosaic of movement, blending Bollywood rhythms, Punjabi beats and contemporary club music into a seamless soundtrack of celebration.
Sam Thakkar and Vaishali Thakkar, owners of FunAsia and the evening’s hosts, greeted guests personally and described the event as more than entertainment. In interviews, they emphasized that such gatherings create opportunities for the South Asian community in the Dallas Fort Worth area to connect beyond professional and social boundaries. Events like these, they noted, not only offer leisure but foster a sense of belonging and cultural continuity.

The dress code, designated as “Western Party Wear,” lent the evening a polished atmosphere. Couples embraced a red and gold theme in honor of Valentine’s Day, while younger attendees opted for modern party ensembles. The result was a vibrant tableau of style that mirrored the celebratory tone of the night.
On stage, DJ Moody and DJ Asim commanded the crowd with high energy sets that blended Bollywood hits, Punjabi dance tracks and contemporary club anthems. Guests danced late into the night, the music sustaining a pulse that rarely dimmed.
Beyond the dance floor, the program featured live DJ performances, belly dancing segments, groove routines and interactive competitions, including awards for “Best Dance Couple” and “Best Dressed Couple.” A “Ready to Mingle” segment drew the attention of single attendees, adding a playful dimension to the evening’s festivities.
Guests described the gathering as a positive and safe space for the community to celebrate cultural traditions while embracing modern expressions of festivity. The interplay of music, lights and shared energy turned the occasion into more than a party — it became a communal moment.
In remarks at the event, Sam and Vaishali Thakkar reiterated their commitment to delivering quality entertainment tailored to the South Asian diaspora in the region. They expressed plans to continue organizing such events, providing a consistent platform for community engagement in the Dallas Fort Worth area.
In the end, this Valentine’s celebration was not simply an evening of dance and décor. It was a social convergence where affection, friendship and community spirit moved in unison, affirming the enduring vibrancy of South Asian life in North Texas.
