Islamabad High Court (IHC) has stayed the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman, Imran Khan, and other cases until February 18, 2026. The court also extended the bail of PTI Chairman and other accused individuals before their arrest.
On Tuesday, the district and session court of Islamabad heard five cases, including the attempted murder of Imran Khan. The Additional District and Sessions Judge, Muhammad Afzal Majokha, conducted the hearing. The court ordered the police to refrain from arresting the PTI Chairman and other accused individuals in the case until February 18, 2026.
The court also directed the jail administration to conduct an immediate medical examination of Imran Khan, who is currently in Adiala Jail. Unfortunately, the PTI Chairman could not attend the court proceedings via video link due to some technical issues.
The lawyer of PTI Chairman, Salman Safdar, and the chairman’s absence resulted in the court adjourning the case until February 18, 2026. The PTI Chairman has several cases pending against him, including charges of attempted murder, and fake receipts.
Meanwhile, the Sindh government has signed an agreement with the US Department of Agriculture to provide free meals and ration to over 200,000 students studying in 1,300 government primary schools across the province. The US will provide $80 million to implement the program.
