According to FIA spokesperson, the passenger was attempting to travel to Thailand on fake documents. The passenger was initially supposed to travel to Dubai on a visit visa, but his Ukrainian resident card was found to be fake. The passenger claimed that he had paid 2.8 million rupees to a agent to facilitate his travel to South Korea.

In related news, the Sindh government has taken action against the appointment of permanent and acting vice chancellors in universities across the province.
