A young girl in Adisham, India, has succumbed to a rare skin infection that caused severe itching, leading to her untimely death. Laxmi Priya, a student of a local school, had been suffering from the infection for several months, despite undergoing multiple treatments. Her parents revealed that they had attempted to cut her hair as a precautionary measure, but the girl had refused.
As the infection worsened, it began to affect her scalp, causing her to withdraw from social interactions. Her family claimed that she stopped going outside due to the foul odor emanating from her scalp, which she tried to conceal by covering her hair.
According to reports, Laxmi Priya’s family was aware of her illness, but they did not realize the gravity of the situation. The girl was admitted to the hospital three days before her death, but unfortunately, she succumbed to her illness despite receiving treatment.
Laxmi Priya’s mother revealed that her daughter had stopped showing her hair after the infection began, which led to the family being unaware of the extent of the infection. The incident has raised concerns about the need for better awareness and treatment of such rare skin conditions.
