Pakistani politician Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, is facing a health crisis as his party fights for better treatment. According to Alima Khan, Imran’s sister, the Chief Justice of Pakistan has not yet issued an order for Imran’s treatment.
Imran Khan’s lawyer, Barrister Salman Safdar, informed Alima Khan about the Chief Justice’s order, which he says is to get Imran’s treatment done by 16th February. However, Alima Khan rejected the order, saying that Imran has been complaining of eye pain for the past three months and has been given eye drops, but the treatment has not been carried out properly.
“We will not accept the government’s report on Imran’s health,” Alima Khan said. “We will not accept the absence of Imran’s personal doctor or his family members during the treatment.”
Imran Khan is currently lodged in the Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, where he is facing trial for his alleged involvement in the Sialkot incident. The incident took place on October 9, when Imran Khan, along with his party workers, blocked a road and created a ruckus in Lahore.
The Lahore Anti-Terrorism Court has extended Alima Khan’s interim bail until March 13 in a case related to the Sialkot incident. The court has also asked the record to be produced in the next hearing.
The government, however, has maintained that it prioritizes human sympathy and legal demands over all else. “Every prisoner has the right to receive facilities as per the law,” said Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, a government spokesperson.
The PTI party has been demanding better treatment for Imran Khan, who is currently being treated by a medical panel in the jail. The medical panel is expected to conduct a medical examination of Imran Khan soon, after which he will be shifted to a hospital.
Meanwhile, opposition leader Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar has demanded that Imran Khan be shifted to a hospital immediately for treatment. “Imran Khan’s health is a matter of concern for us,” Khokhar said.
The government has denied allegations of mistreating Imran Khan, saying that he is receiving the best possible treatment in the jail. “Imran Khan is getting the same facilities as any other prisoner in the jail,” said a government spokesperson.
The PTI party has been at the forefront of the controversy surrounding Imran Khan’s health, with many of its leaders and workers demanding better treatment for him. The party has also been critical of the government’s handling of the situation.
In related news, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has come out in support of Imran Khan’s medical bail, saying that the government should prioritize his health over all else.
The situation has sparked a heated debate in the country, with many calling for Imran Khan’s immediate release and treatment. The government, however, has maintained that it will not bow to pressure from the PTI party.
The crisis has also raised questions about the government’s handling of Imran Khan’s health, with many questioning its motives and actions. The situation remains tense, with both sides refusing to budge.
As the controversy continues to unfold, one thing is clear: Imran Khan’s health is a matter of grave concern for the country, and it is imperative that he receives the best possible treatment to recover from his illness.
