Karachi, Pakistan – A motorcyclist was killed in a tragic accident involving a water tanker in the Liaquatabad No. 4 area of Karachi. According to police, the water tanker driver has been taken into custody, and efforts are underway to apprehend the fleeing driver. The identity of the deceased motorcyclist has not been confirmed yet, and the body was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
Rescue officials reported that this year alone, a total of 46 people have lost their lives in accidents involving heavy vehicles. Out of these, three were killed in accidents involving dumpers, 28 in trucks, six in water tankers, and nine in bus collisions.
In a separate development, the government has reiterated its commitment to prioritizing humanitarian concerns and upholding the rule of law. Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, emphasized that providing quality facilities to every prisoner, as per the law, is the government’s responsibility.
The medical panel reviewing PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s health includes Dr. Amjad and Dr. Nadeem Qureshi. After the panel’s examination, a decision will be made regarding Imran Khan’s transfer to a hospital. Opposition leader Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar has demanded that Imran Khan be transferred to a hospital for immediate medical attention.

Senior PPP leader and renowned lawyer, Itikaz Hassan, expressed his support for Imran Khan’s medical bail.
Information Minister emphasized that speculation about Imran Khan’s medical treatment should be avoided. DIG Operations, Javad Tariq, advised journalists not to attempt to interview him, warning that they may have their camera confiscated.
