In a joint operation, the Rangers and Special Services Unit (SSU) apprehended three suspects in Karachi’s North area. According to the Rangers officials, the suspects were arrested during a shootout, in which two others were injured. The arrested suspects were found to be in possession of 400 grams of charas, 240 grams of heroin, three mobile phones, and cash.
During the operation, the authorities claimed that they recovered arms from the suspects and the identification process is ongoing. The arrested suspects are reportedly involved in serious crimes, including extortion.
The government has emphasized that it prioritizes humanity and the rule of law, ensuring that every prisoner is provided with amenities as per the law: Senior Minister Tarique Faisal Chaudhry.
Meanwhile, a medical panel, comprising Dr. Amjad and Dr. Nadeem Qureshi, is set to examine PTI Chairman Imran Khan. After the medical examination, the panel will decide whether to transfer him to a hospital. The opposition alliance, Tahreek-e-Insaf, has demanded that Imran Khan be immediately shifted to a hospital for medical treatment.
PTI Vice Chairman, Alimma Khan, stated that Imran Khan was overjoyed upon hearing the voices of his sons after a long time. Atta Tarar said that Imran Khan is being provided with facilities in the jail that are not available to ordinary prisoners. Javed Latif, a PTI leader, stated that he had taken the decision to visit Imran Khan without any influence or pressure from anyone.
Punjab Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz, has appreciated the government’s decision to launch the Ramadan package. PTI Central Leader, Salman Akram Raja, stated that Imran Khan’s proper medical treatment is his right and it should not be delayed. The police have seized a sound system belonging to the Jamaat-e-Islami and arrested 10 of its workers.
In a significant development, a medical report revealed that Imran Khan is suffering from an eye-related disease. Senior PPP leader, Aitezaz Ahsan, has expressed support for Imran Khan’s medical bail on a medical basis.
Information Minister, Marriyum Aurangzeb, urged the public to refrain from speculating on Imran Khan’s health. Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations, Javed Tarar, stated that no journalist will be allowed to interview Imran Khan, and any journalist attempting to do so will have their camera seized.
The Meteorological Department has forecasted that a weak westerly system will enter the country on February 16. Murtaza Wab stated that he has sent a bouquet to Hafiz Naeem-ul-Haq at the institution of Noor-e-Haq.
