Karachi’s Millat Town Market Robbery: Thieves Clean Out a Goldsmith’s Shop
A brazen robbery took place in Karachi’s Millat Town area on Wednesday morning when thieves broke into a goldsmith’s shop in the Ghanchi Market, making off with a substantial amount of gold and cash. According to the police, the suspects cut through the shop’s shutters and entered the premises, stealing around 850 grams of gold and 15 million rupees in cash. The total worth of the stolen goods is estimated to be over 50 million rupees.
The police have taken the market’s watchman into custody for questioning and are also searching for surveillance footage to identify the suspects. This is the second time in a week that thieves have targeted a goldsmith’s shop in the area. On February 6, a similar incident took place in Seaview, where the thieves stole over 40 million rupees’ worth of gold and silver jewelry.
Concerns Over PTI Chairman’s Health
Meanwhile, concerns over the health of PTI Chairman Imran Khan have been mounting, with many calling for his medical evaluation. Khan has been suffering from eye problems and has been receiving treatment at the Bani Gala prison.
Government Sources Reveal Medical Panel Members
Government sources revealed that a medical panel, comprising Dr. Amjad and Dr. Nadeem Qureshi, has been formed to evaluate Khan’s health. The panel will conduct a medical examination, and based on the results, a decision will be made to transfer Khan to a hospital.
Opposition Parties Demand Khan’s Immediate Transfer to Hospital
Opposition parties, including the Tahirul Qadri-led Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), have demanded that Khan be immediately transferred to a hospital for proper medical treatment.
