Karachi, Pakistan – In a ceremony held at the Police Training College in Saifabad, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah praised the Sindh Police for its outstanding performance in reducing crime and maintaining law and order in the province.
Addressing the 131st passing out parade of the Police Recruit Training Course, Shah emphasized that the police is playing a crucial role in maintaining peace and stability in the province. He praised the bravery and dedication of the police personnel, who have been working tirelessly to keep the people of Sindh safe.
Shah also commended the police for their efforts in combating terrorism and crime, saying that the province has made significant progress in this regard. He cited the example of the recent encounter in Dadu, where three police officers were martyred, and the bravery shown by the police in Karachi, where they foiled a terrorist attack on the Chinese consulate.
The Chief Minister also highlighted the achievements of the police in the past year, saying that they have arrested over 1,100 terrorists, killed 207, and injured 418. He added that the police have also been successful in recovering large quantities of arms and ammunition.
Shah also announced that the government will continue to provide support to the police in their efforts to maintain law and order in the province. He assured the police personnel that they will be provided with the necessary equipment and resources to perform their duties effectively.
The ceremony was attended by high-ranking police officials, including Inspector General of Police Javed Alam Odho, who presented a commemorative shield to the Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister also awarded prizes to the police personnel who have shown exceptional bravery and dedication to their duties. He also instructed the police to provide daily updates on the progress of cases to him.
In a related development, the Sindh government has announced that it will provide medical treatment to former Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is currently in prison. The government has stated that it will provide the best medical facilities to Khan, who is suffering from an eye condition.
The move has been welcomed by various political leaders, including PPP leader Azizullah Ahmaad, who has expressed support for Khan’s medical treatment. However, some opposition leaders have criticized the government for not providing adequate medical facilities to Khan.
