Pakistan’s former Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa is recovering in a hospital after sustaining injuries in a fall at his residence. According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), General Bajwa fell and got injured while at home. ISPR also stated that the former army chief is currently undergoing treatment at the CMH and is in stable condition.
In a separate development, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has accused the government of conspiring against him. Khan claimed that the government is trying to hide his health issues after the party’s recent protests failed to achieve their objectives.
On the other hand, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has responded to Khan’s allegations, saying that the government and the jail authorities will not comment on the PTI chairman’s health. Rana Sanaullah stated that it would be a serious offense for anyone to comment on Khan’s health condition.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has reaffirmed its commitment to enforcing a policy to cap fees at medical and dental colleges across the country. The council has stated that it will ensure strict implementation of the policy.
The council also met with the two party leaders and discussed important national and internal security issues, including the election of the new president of Azad Kashmir.
In a separate development, the Sindh government has decided to seal high-risk buildings that are violating fire safety laws. The decision comes after several cases of dog attacks have been reported in Karachi.
