Pakistan is gearing up for the holy month of Ramadan 2026, with the birth of the Ramadan moon expected on February 17th at 5:01 PM. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a strong possibility of the moon being visible on February 18th, with clear skies or partial cloud cover expected in most parts of the country.
The Meteorological Department has announced the last time to look for the moon in different parts of the country. In Sindh, the last time to spot the moon is at 7:24 PM, while in Punjab, it will be visible until 7:08 PM. In other parts of the country, the timings for fasting during Ramadan have been revealed.
In Balochistan, the last time to spot the moon is at 7:47 PM, while in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, it will be visible until 7:13 PM. In Azad Kashmir, the moon will be visible until 6:58 PM, and in Gilgit-Baltistan, it will be visible until 6:53 PM.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited the home of Shaheed Aun Abbas, who was martyred while trying to prevent a suicide bomber. The Prime Minister led the Fateha Khwani for the martyrs.
